Associations and Volunteers

Associations and Volunteers

Does your association work with those who have moved to Finland? Do you organise activities to support integration? Are you volunteering with immigrants? Are you interested in volunteering or association activities supporting integration? These pages are for you!

Promoting integration is the promotion of inclusion and dialogue between the society and the integrating immigrant communities. Associations, volunteers, parishes, and other local groups, as well as us ordinary people, can promote dialogue and inclusion through everyday encounters. We all play an important role!

The Welcome Office pages for the associations and volunteers are about inclusion. They bring together information, tools, events, and activities related to supporting the integration of migrants.

If you wish to create content on the site or have any ideas for the content of the site, please contact us: info@welcome2ep.fi or welcome.office@vaasa.fi.

Creative methods

Have you already learned about creative methods to promote inclusion? The Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare THL has compiled a comprehensive information package on how to use creative methods to strengthen participation. The tools are suitable not only to support integration but also to be applied with other target groups.

Funding

The promotion of integration is multidisciplinary, and funding for activities supporting integration can be obtained from several sources. It is worth thinking broadly and looking for interfaces with even those sources of funding that are not directly related to migrants or support for integration.
